Can CGI and smart product design help end the plastic waste crisis?

A lot of plastic waste is produced during the prototyping process. There are several different ways of prototyping products, but one popular method is 3D printing.


3D printing and plastic waste 

3D printing can be an excellent tool for testing new initiatives and discovering how your final design might work. However, 3D printing can also produce a lot of wastage. According to Filamentive, unwanted prototypes cause over 25% of wastage.

Don’t get me wrong. Prototyping has its part to play in the product development process, and there will always be a degree of wastage, but 25% is staggering.


Smart design method
